Artist Statement

I've always been fascinated by the idea that we are part of nature, not separate from it, and that we are the Universe experiencing itself. But why do some aspects of nature, like our own bodies or slimy fungi, make us feel uncomfortable?

For me, experiencing the extremes of nature is exciting - from the beautiful patterns of a rose to the repulsive textures of decaying leaves. Through my art, I explore the mystical, fantastical, and spiritual aspects of our connection to nature, using materials like soil, leaves, and branches.

My goal is to showcase the raw, unfiltered side of nature - to make viewers feel uneasy or even disgusted. Because it's within those moments of discomfort that we can truly appreciate the vibrancy and vitality of life.
